  • 1 cup butter, softened
  • 1.5 cups sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 2.75 cups flour
  • 2 tsp cream of tartar
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 0.25 tsp salt
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract OR 1-2 tsp almond extract


  • 3 tbsp sugar
  • 3 tsp cinnamon


  1. Combine butter, sugar, eggs, and extract of choice
  2. Combine flour, cream of tartar, baking soda, and salt in separate bowl
  3. Mix together!
  4. Chill dough for 15 minutes
  5. Mix remaining sugar and cinnamon
  6. Roll 1 inch balls of dough in cinnamon sugar mixture to coat
  7. Arrange on ungreased cookie sheet
  8. Bake at 350 degrees, 10 minutes per batch
