- 6 golden delicious apples (around 3 pounds)
- 1 package of crusts (no shame)((remember to take them out of the fridge at the beginning))
- Juice of 1/2 lemon (1-2 tbsps)
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 2 tbsp corn starch
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 1/4 tsp nutmeg
- 1/4 tsp salt
- Peel apples and slice thinly
- Put in big bowl and cover with boiling water. Allow to sit for 10 minutes and drain thoroughly.
- In a separate bowl, mix dry ingredients
- Combine dry ingredients, apples, and lemon juice
- Assemble pie
- Bake 50-60 minutes at 375 degrees. Cover crust edges in foil after 30 minutes.
Experiment: Start in hotter oven and then turn down.
